US/GLOBAL - The California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS) has announced the election of chairs and vice chairs for its board of administration committees.
The appointment are as follows:-
- Investment committee: Rob Feckner, chair; Priya Mathur, vice chair.Feckner was elected to the CalPERS board of administration in 1999 by classified school employees. Mathur was elected to the Board at the beginning of 2003 as a representative of public agency employees.
Other investment committee members are: Sidney Abrams, State Treasurer Philip Angelides, Willie Brown Jr., Robert Carlson, George Diehr, Sean Harrigan, Marty Morgenstern, Mike Quevedo Jr., Kurato Shimada, Charles Valdes, and State Controller Steve Westly.
-Benefits and Program Administration Committee: Kurato Shimada, chair; Sidney Abrams, vice chair.
Shimada was re-elected to the board in 2002 as representative of all CalPERS members. Changes were also made to the Health Benefits Committee and the R Street Project subcommittee.
