BENELUX - SEI Investments Europe has appointed Jeroen Van Rooij as institutional sales director for the Benelux region.
Van Rooij’s appointment is the latest in a line of European appointments by the investment and technology solutions provider in support of its expansion in Europe.
SEI recently opened offices in Germany and the Netherlands, adding to its existing presence in the UK and France.
Van Rooij, who joins from ING Investment Management where he headed up a team of product specialists, will report to Bart Heenk, managing director for the Benelux and Nordic regions.
Commenting on the hire, Heenk said: “Jeroen’s appointment is testimony to the importance we are placing on SEI’s expansion into Europe. We already have an established presence in the UK and France and have recently opened an office in Amsterdam to provide localised solutions to pension funds and insurance companies in the region.
“We believe that the Benelux region provides a fertile ground for SEI and have already started to engage with several large pension funds to inform them about our solutions.”
Van Rooij will work alongside Greg Rodgers, recently appointed director of institutional sales for Continental Europe.
Investors, driven by depressed interest rates, slower global economic growth and rich equity market valuations are examining non-traditional investment opportunities.
