EUROPE - Kroll has completed a management buyout of its European corporate advisory and business recovery group and rebranded to Zolfo Cooper in Europe.
The transaction will include the twelve strong pensions advisory services team led by partner Gary Squires.
The firm said the global Zolfo Cooper business, together with its continued affiliations in Asia, Australia, and the Caribbean, would offer local, national and international solutions to companies facing financial and operational difficulties worldwide.
Zolfo Cooper Europe head of pensions advisory services Gary Squires said: "This transaction is the ideal solution for our business moving forward and is a timely opportunity for us to further strengthen our offering to both sponsoring employers and trustees of pension schemes.
"As the pensions market continues to face a number of complex issues and challenges, we view pensions advisory services as an integral part of Zolfo Cooper's UK and European business."
Zolfo Cooper Europe chief executive Simon Freakley added: "This is a hugely exciting development for our business and our people. We have enjoyed a strong year to date with our team of corporate advisory, restructuring and pensions experts being appointed on many high profile and complex assignments."
This week's edition of Professional Pensions is out now.
