US - Morgan Stanley and Fidelity Investments Institutional Services Company have forged a strategic alliance to launch Morgan Stanley Retirement Connection (MSRC) - a 401k retirement plan product for plans with assets of $5m or more.
MSRC aims to provide businesses and their employees with retirement plan services, including online information and a self-directed brokerage option, using Fidelity’s Participant Recordkeeping System.
As part of the move Morgan Stanley will provide investment management services through the Morgan Stanley and Van Kampen fund families, as well as sales, marketing and employee education services. The Fidelity Advisor Funds will also be offered as investment options within the new product.
MSRC will be available early next year.
