EUROPE - Cern, the European organisation for nuclear research based in Geneva, has appointed MFS International, a subsidiary of MFS Investment Management, to run a CHF50m (£21.3m) active European equity mandate.
Commenting on the win, Paul Price, director of international marketing at MFS UK, said: “CERN is one of the largest European pension funds and an extremely prestigious client.
“This win underlines MFS’s commitment to the European marketplace and is a further step towards our aim to become a truly global player.”
MFS manages more than $121.6bn (£89bn) in assets on behalf of six million investors worldwide as of September 30, 2001.
