CHINA/ NETHERLANDS/BELGIUM - Haitong Securities, one of the largest securities companies in China, and Fortis Investment Management (FIM) have received a licence from the China Securities Regulatory Commission to set up a joint venture, Fortis Haitong Investment Management.
FIM will initially own 33%, rising to 49% after three years of operation. Fortis Haitong Investment Management will offer mutual funds investing in the local A-share market to Chinese investors.
