NETHERLANDS - Aegon, the Dutch financial services group, has announced that Donald Shepard has takeover from Kees Storm as chairman of the firm's executive board.
Storm is stepping down as Aegon chairman after nine years at the helm, and will retire on July 1st. Once he retires, the firm said it will appoint him to its supervisory board.
Shepard moves up to the top job at Aegon after spending a decade on its executive board. His appointment, announced at the firm’s annual general meeting last week in The Hague, has resulted in Johan van der Werf being appointed to the executive board.
