EUROPE - The Polish Chamber of Pension Funds (IGTE) joined the European Federation for Retirement Provision on 1 January 2003.
The Chamber, the national association for pension funds in Poland, represents the interests of Polish pension fund societies with the various government and financial bodies in Poland and with the media and the general public.
Its objective is to bolster confidence in Polish pension fund societies and raise their profile. Poland has 16 pension fund societies, 14 of them being IGTE members. Assets of the IGTE members amount to E6.65bn.
The EFRP aims to extend its membership to include representatives bodies of all the expanded membership of the EU.
