Postal workers are to be balloted on Royal Mail's offer on pay and pensions in a bid to halt strike action.

The Communication Worker’s Union has agreed to support the Royal Mail plan to close the final salary scheme to new members from January 31, 2008 and replace it with a defined contribution scheme. ...
