Fiduciary management involves the outsourcing of some or all of the day-to-day management of a pension scheme's investments to a external manager in a bid to better achieve scheme investment objectives.

The idea, first pioneered in The Netherlands, aims to allow trustees to focus on key strategic issues affecting their scheme and their long-term goals.
The concept is flexible - it can take many forms, from outsourcing a specialist segment of the portfolio to a full partnership with a fiduciary manager.

The Fiduciary Management panel includes:

Daniel Melley - Head of Dynamic De-risking Solution in the UK, Mercer

Michael Marks - Chief Operating Officer of BlackRock's Fiduciary Mandate Investment team (FMIT), BlackRock

Remco van Eeuwijk - Managing Director UK, Mn Sevices

Shamindra S. Perera, CFA - Managing Director, Head of Fiduciary Management-EMEA, Russell Investments
