FRANCE - Jean Kimmel (pictured) has been appointed as benefits practice leader in Watson Wyatt's Paris office, having joined the firm from Hewitt in May this year.
Kimmel, who will be responsible for the expansion of the employee benefits practice in France, said: “This is an exciting time to be leading benefits consultancy in the French market. Changing legislation in France means that companies need to be even more aware of the new risks and the opportunities this presents.”
Simon Desrochers, managing consultant of the Paris office, said: “Jean has already proved to be a real asset to the benefits team in France.”
In his new position Kimmel will take the lead on client development.
Mark Evans has been appointed as a director at Independent Trustee Services (ITS) to lead trustee appointments in London.
The Pension Protection Fund (PPF) is consulting on changes to the actuarial assumptions it uses in valuations in a bid to better reflect the bulk annuity market, with schemes set to move into surplus on aggregate.
