HMV seeks trustee approval for Waterstone's sale

Trustees of HMV's pension scheme are in discussions with the retailer over its intended £53m sale of the Waterstone's book chain.

In a statement, the firm said Waterstone's would be sold free from all UK pension liabilities, leaving HMV with sole responsibility for the 400-member scheme. The trustees must approve the deal ...
