Newton Investment Management has appointed Susan Noble to take over from Helena Morrissey as non-executive chairwoman.
The asset management firm - an investment boutique of BNY Mellon Investment Management - said Noble will become non-executive chairwoman of Newton Investment Management and Newton Investment Management (North America) from 1 January 2017.
Noble is currently an independent non-executive director of Newton and has more than two decades of experience as an investment management professional - including key roles at Robert Fleming Asset Management and Goldman Sachs Asset Management.
She is currently non-executive director of British Empire Trust and is chairman of Alliance Trust Investments, a wholly owned subsidiary of Alliance Trust.
Helena Morrissey will continue in her current roles until the end of this month.
