Ros Altmann uncensored: The fate of pension policy

clock • 1 min read

Ros Altman likened her time as pensions minister to being in 'detention' and says she felt 'silenced' over a number of key issues. Join us at The Future of Pensions Consulting to hear her speak out.

The post Brexit cabinet reshuffle led to Baroness Ros Altmann standing down as The Minister of State for Pensions. Theresa May chose Richard Harrington MP to be parliamentary under-secretary of state for pensions leaving many to ask if this was a demotion for pensions?

Since Ros Altmann left the government role she has said she felt ‘silenced' over certain issues such as women and the state pensions age and tax relief overhaul, likening her time as pensions minister to being "in detention." Altmann hopes to be able to discuss pensions issues in a more open and honest manner now that she has left government.

In light of this, Professional Pensions are thrilled to announce that Baroness Altmann will be speaking at The Future of Pensions Consulting on The Fate of Pension Policy.

Ros is keen to discuss reform of incentives, dangers of Lifetime ISAs, challenges of managing legacy DB schemes and the Pensions Bill.

Join us on 8 November at Le Meridien Piccadilly to hear Baroness Ros Altmann and many more covering topics that will include:

  • Advice vs Provision
  • Value for Money
  • The DB legacy
  • DC market analysis
  • Trustee profile of the perfect consultant
  • The emphasis on the individual
  • Future of annuities

Book now at only £549 + vat.
