CIPD calls for exclusivity clause ban in zero hours contracts

The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) has urged the government to place an outright ban on exclusivity clauses in zero-hours contracts where there is no guarantee of work.

In response to the government's consultation on zero-hours employment contracts which closed yesterday, the CIPD said that employers should not be allowed to use the clauses for zero-hours contract...
