DC becomes norm for any schemes still open

TWO-THIRDS of open em-ployer-sponsored pension schemes are now defined contribution, the latest research from Hewitt Associates reveals.

The consultant’s 2006 DC survey – which polled more than 100 schemes providing benefits to 325,000 employees – showed this was an increase of 11 percentage points since its previous survey in 2005....
