BAE SYSTEMS is in final stage talks with unions and employee representatives over funding a £120m deficit in the Royal Ordnance legacy scheme.

The company – Europe’s biggest defence contractor – has reached an agreement on dealing with its main UK fund but has yet to resolve how to tackle shortfalls across the pension schemes it inherited...
