IRELAND - Mercer Human Resource Consulting has appointed Maurice Whyms as its new chief executive of its Irish business. Whyms replaces Paul O'Faherty, who will take up the role of chairman in Ireland and European business leader for Mercer HR Services. Whyms, a senior actuary and consultant, has held a number of senior management roles in Mercer's Retirement business, most recently as head of client development. Meanwhile, Centrica's pensions scheme trustees have appointed Mercer HR to develop and manage its interactive pensions website.
The site will allow members to view relevant scheme information and benefit statements online and, and will be available to around 30 000 members in total, including deferred members and pensioners.
