DB schemes accelerate bulk annuity and longevity swap activity


Almost 100 bulk annuity and longevity swap deals worth more than £50m have taken place in the UK since 2007 as part of an international trend, Mercer research says.

The consultancy's research also said the transfer of risk from scheme sponsors to third parties is accelerating, with more FTSE companies joining the trend. In 2011 alone, around 150 deals worth...
