Longevity market consultation warns of dangers of concentrating risk

The Bank for International Settlements (BIS) has launched a consultation on the longevity risk transfer market, which it says will provide a preliminary analysis and raise awareness of potential risks.

BIS said the market, which is more advanced in the UK than elsewhere, remained "uncharted territory for analysts, academics as well as for supervisors" but could concentrate risk in too few hands. ...
