Pension fund FTSE holdings hit all-time low

Pension funds' share holdings in the UK stock market has fallen to a record low of 4.7% in 2012, data from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) shows.

The ONS said the proportion held by schemes rose from 10% in 1963 to a high of 32.4% by 1992. However, the market has seen a steady decline since. The level in 2010 was 5.6%. The largest falls w...
