Deficits down 20% in a month says PPF

The combined deficit at UK schemes shrunk by 20% last month, according to figures from the Pension Protection Fund (PPF).

The deficit for schemes that are eligible to enter the lifeboat fund fell from £76.5bn to £61.2bn on a section 179 basis. Average funding levels across the PPF 7800 index rose from 93.7% to 94.9...
