Civil Aviation Authority scheme completes £1.6bn buy-in

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Pension Scheme has completed a £1.6bn buy-in with Rothesay Life to insure the benefits of approximately two thirds of its members.

The deal, which also covers about two thirds of the scheme's liabilities, is the second largest buy-in after the ICI transaction in 2014 and is the biggest bulk annuity completed so far this year. ...
