Professional Pensions launches the PP Investment Awards 2015

clock

The 2015 PPIA awards process has been launched. Find out more about this year's accolades here...

The Professional Pensions Investment Awards celebrate excellence among the asset managers who serve UK workplace pension schemes.

The awards, now in their second year, recognise asset managers over a broad range of specialisms - and shine the spotlight on those whose achievements may not always be recognised by the more general UK Pensions Awards.

The awards process is unique within the industry - with the shortlist being drawn up in association with leading investment consultancy Aon Hewitt.

The shortlist is based on both performance and relative growth in assets under management over the 12 months to 30 June 2015.

However, we recognise the need for consistent performance so entrants will only be shortlisted if they demonstrate both excellent performance over the 12 months to 30 June 2015 AND strong performance over a three year time period.

The full shortlists will be published in August.

Shortlisted entrants will then asked to complete an entry detailing how they differentiate themselves from their peers - detailing the product and client service innovations they have made over the 12 months to 30 June 2015.

The winners in each category will then be decided by a distinguished panel of industry judges - which will include chief investment officers, trustees and key industry figures. The judges will be announced over the coming weeks.

The winners will be announced at an awards lunch on 27th November at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower Hotel in Knightsbridge, London.

Category list

As part of the process for this year's PP Investment Awards, we have reviewed the category list for the awards and made a number of changes in a bid to make sure the categories continue to represent the mandates being awarded by UK pension schemes.

As such, we have removed four categories - Commodities Manager of the Year, Currency Manager of the Year, Economic Infrastructure Manager of the Year, and PPP (Public Private Partnership) Manager of the Year.

We have also added a number of categories into this year's awards - UK LDI Manager of the Year, Infrastructure Manager of the Year and Private Equity Manager of the Year.

And we have renamed two categories - DGF (Diversified Growth Fund) Manager of the Year has been renamed Multi Asset Manager of the Year; and the Passive Manager of the Year category has been renamed Index Manager of the Year.
