Mobius Life has been appointed by River and Mercantile (R&M) as an investment-only platform and administrator for its defined contribution (DC) fiduciary management pension scheme clients.
Mobius was selected following a thorough process covering a range of DC investment platforms in the market. It will administer a range of single-priced investment funds to meet the investment needs of R&M's clients, while ensuring a secure and efficient process to allow it to focus on delivering high quality investment solutions.
R&M will receive streamlined investment processes and investment opportunities not usually available to DC schemes, according to the firms.
R&M director and head of DC Niall Alexander said: "The decision was based on Mobius Life's independent, pure-play business model, market-leading functionality and competitive fees, all of which will help improve the quality of DC investment we bring to clients and, most importantly, their members".
Mobius Life chief executive Adrian Swales commented: "Providing institutional platform services is our only business, which means that we are 100% focused on delivering exceptional investment platform services to our UK institutional clients."
