There has been a significant increase in the number of UK deaths with Covid mentioned on the death certificate during the third quarter of the year, Continuous Mortality Investigation (CMI) data shows.

The CMI's mortality monitor - which has tracked weekly mortality rates since the start of the coronavirus pandemic - found a notable spike in Covid-related deaths in July, August, and September. ...
