Latest TPR DB scheme data shows funding improvements

Improvements in defined benefit (DB) scheme funding levels have been recorded in The Pensions Regulator’s (TPR) latest data on occupational DB schemes.

The data for the 1,640 ‘tranche 17' schemes, measuring the year to 21 September 2022, showed a 5% rise in the median funding level to 97%, compared with 92% for ‘tranche 14' schemes. A minority ...
