Average time to buyout falls to 4.6 years, Barnett Waddingham finds

The average time to buyout for FTSE 350 schemes has fallen to 4.6 years as at 31 December 2024, according to Barnett Waddingham. Defined Benefit (DB) End Gauge Index.

The consultancy's Defined Benefit (DB) End Gauge Index also measured the estimated aggregate surplus on a low dependency basis at £63bn at the end of last year, compared to £60bn in November 2024. ...
