DB surpluses up £41bn in the last year, XPS finds

Defined benefit (DB) pension scheme surpluses have increased by around £41bn in the last year, reaching £211bn at the end of July, XPS Group finds.

Analysis from the firm's DB:UK Funding Watch tracker showed a monthly surplus increase in July of £5bn compared to the previous month, with total assets at £1,163bn and a funding position of 122%. ...
