The PP expedition team at the top of Primrose Hill
A team of Professional Pensions staff have completed a sponsored “30 for 30” walk to raise money for charity.
As part of PP's 30th anniversary celebrations, on Wednesday (20 August), the team hiked 30km around Central London to raise money for four of Incisive Media Foundation's charities: City Harvest, Go Beyond, The UK Sepsis Trust, and Wellbeing of Women.
The team consisted of PP editor Jonathan Stapleton who led the expedition, events assistant Bethany Adams, customer success assistant Danita Boakye, business development manager Will Bolton, senior marketing executive Sophia De Palma, marketing executive Vania Dias, account director Hannah Heath, senior event manager Mollie Lindsay-Bush, customer success executive Kealan McCrarren, event coordinator Libby Phillpot and correspondent Martin Richmond.
Landmarks along the route, which started and finished at Professional Pensions' offices on Drury Lane, included Primrose Hill, Regents Park, Marylebone, Hyde Park, St James's Park and Green Park.
Stapleton said: "Walking 30km around through some amazing parts of London was a fantastic way to mark Professional Pensions' 30th anniversary — bringing our team together for a great cause and raising money for charities that make a real difference. The walk was challenging but incredibly rewarding, and I'm hugely proud of everyone who took part."
Richmond added: "Partaking in this walk was an incredibly tough challenge but very rewarding to raise money for some very important charities. I now have some sort of understanding of what Frodo and Sam must have felt like when they walked to Mordor in The Lord of the Rings!"
