DB scheme funding levels hit new high as schemes target run-on

The majority (74%) of defined benefit (DB) schemes were in surplus on a technical provisions basis – a higher proportion than for any previous year since the start of the funding regime, while long-term objectives are increasingly focussed on run-on, Aon analysis has found.
