Occupational healthcare launch addresses ease of access

A new occupational healthcare company, Work Doctors, aims to make it easier to access occupational healthcare and traditional family medicine for major UK businesses.

Work Doctors promises to deliver a definite report and recommended treatment plan within 24 hours.

Managing director Dr Mark O'Connor said: "There is a gap in the market for an occupational healthcare company that works with both the HR manager and employee to deliver sensitive solutions in a timely and personal way.

"With traditional occupational healthcare providers, it can sometimes take many weeks for a consultant to interview the employee and complete a report which is often short, vague, risk averse and without a comprehensive management plan to progress the HR problem."

He added that the model included a report including full documentation of the issues and instruction on how to manage the situation for the employer, the content of which will have already been agreed by the employee.
