UK - Schroders has appointed Gary Clarke of Gartmore as a fund manager within its European equities team.
Clarke, who has managed the Gartmore European Focus Fund and been lead fund manager for Gartmore’s Aggressive Alpha retail and institutional funds in pan and continental Europe, takes up his new role in September.
Ken Lambden, Schroders global head of equities, commented: “As a highly rated manager with a proven track record of generating sustained performance, Gary will add further depth to our offering.”
Clarke joins a team of six fund managers supported by 18 analysts and researchers.
Prior to Gartmore, he was assistant director of European equities at Rothschild Asset Management. He has also worked for HSBC Asset Management.
