AXA Life Invest has hired a regional sales manager and eight retirement specialists to be advisers' first point of contact for the firm's drawdown products.
Robert Higginbotham joins AXA Life Invest as regional sales manager from Royal London Pensions. He will oversee engagement with professional financial advisers in central regions including Wales, the Midlands, East Anglia and the South East.
Meanwhile Donovan Davey, Rob Fairbrother, Neville Hutchinson, Chetan Mistry, Matt Nelson and Neill Timbrell have also joined as senior retirement specialists from outside the company.
Prior to joining AXA Life Invest, Fairbrother worked at Liverpool Victoria; Hutchinson worked as an independent account manager at Zurich Insurance; Mistry joined from Antonor where he was an independent financial adviser and Timbrell worked at Aegon, Aviva and Provident Mutual.
Josh Harding-Wyatt and Christian Feroze have both been promoted from within AXA Life Invest's sales team to become retirement specialists.

"Savers no longer want an off-the-shelf solution. Our retirement specialists help advisers to tailor-make pensions for clients' individual needs, adding and removing benefits and features as the client's circumstances change."
The firm said it is actively recruiting for additional positions on its telephone sales and sales support desks.
