Jonathan Kennedy has been appointed as director of change and technology at Standard Life Investments and will start work on 29 March in the new position.
He will become a member of Standard Life Investments operating committee and he will report to Standard Life group chief operating officer (COO) Colin Walklin (pictured above).
Kennedy joins from Virgin Money Group where he was COO. He has also worked for Northern Rock, Lloyds Banking Group, HBOS and Halifax in senior management roles around IT and data.
Standard Life said it expected growth in North America, Europe and Asia and it needed a person to manage IT and infrastructure for future expansion.
Walklin said: "Jonathan brings with him substantial industry experience. He is a highly respected IT and change executive in the financial services industry and combines strong technical skills with an exceptional track record in delivering complex, organisation-wide change programmes."
