Tony Britton (pictured above) has joined Aon's defined contribution (DC) team as head of delegated sales where he is tasked with boosting the profile of the firm's master trust.
He joins from Scottish Widows where he worked for 14 years and most recently was head of employer relationships for the company's largest client employer schemes.
Prior to this, he spent 14 years with Friends Provident where he held various sales management positions.
Aon Hewitt head of European distribution Sion Cole said: "The Aon MasterTrust was launched last autumn and since then we have seen considerable client interest in a solution that offers employers the best of both worlds - a trust-based approach which is outsourced to experts.
"With our recent DC survey showing that almost 10% of schemes expect to convert to a master trust over the next five years, this is the ideal time for someone with Tony Britton's experience to join our team."
