Local authorities cut index-linked exposure

Local government exposure to index-linked bonds dropped last year against a backdrop of increasing allocations to the asset class from corporate defined benefit schemes, figures show.

Statistics compiled by State Street Investment Analytics show local government pension scheme exposure to index-linked bonds fell 0.4 percentage points, down from 4.6% in 2009 to 4.2% last year. ...
