Katharine Photiou has been appointed as head of workplace defined contribution (DC) product and proposition by Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM).
She joins LGIM from Barclays where she was head of workplace savings and will work on the firm's DC proposition to attract and retain corporate clients.
Photiou will also sit on LGIM's independent governance committee (IGC) as a company representative.
LGIM head of investments Aaron Meder said: "Workplace savings is a core area of focus for us. We want a market leading proposition that not only attracts new corporate clients but also delivers good member outcomes, no matter their requirements."
The firm recently appointed Paul Sweeting, who joined from JPMorgan, to the new role of head of research within its solutions group.
