M&G Investments has appointed Anne Richards (pictured)as chief executive officer to succeed Michael McLintock who will retire later this year.
Richards will join the asset manager, which is owned by Prudential, from Aberdeen Asset Management where she was chief investment officer with responsibility for operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
She also held senior roles at JP Morgan Investment Management, Mercury Asset Management and Edinburgh Fund Managers.
Prudential chief executive Mike Wells said: "I am delighted that a person of Anne's talent is joining the group and I look forward to working with her.
"Anne will be able to deploy her leadership skills and exceptional knowledge of the global asset management industry to provide the best possible outcomes for our customers, clients and shareholders."

"Anne's achievements and experience make her the right candidate to continue M&G's development."
