The University of Bristol Group Personal Pension Plan (UBGPPP) has appointed Aviva Life and Pensions to oversee group life assurance and group income protection for its members.
The contract for services is divided in two lots and covers life assurance provisions with a payment of 6 x salary in the event of a member death, as well as income protection providing member income protection of 60% of basic salary in the event of incapacity.
UBGPPP received two tenders for each of the procurement requests for both life assurance and income protection.
The UBGPPP schemes are currently managed by Legal & General.
