PPF says DB surplus grew by £6bn in September following fall the month prior

The aggregate surplus of the 5,131 schemes in the Pension Protection Fund (PPF) 7800 Index is estimated to have increased by nearly £6bn to £446.9bn at the end of September 2023, from £441.1bn at the end of August.

The lifeboat fund's latest update showed the funding ratio increased to 147.5% compared to 146.2% in August when the PPF found a slight fall following volatile month for long-dated gilt yields. ...
