A group of Yorkshire and North East pension professionals is set to launch a diversity network to share ideas and experiences.

The Yorkshire Inclusive Pension Professionals (YIPP) group aims to increase awareness and visibility of diversity within the pensions industry, promote the value of allyship; provide a safe space for members to share experiences; and provide opportunities for members to build their network.

The launch event for the new group will be held on Monday (7 October) from 4pm to 6pm at Isio's Leeds office (5th floor, 34 Boar Lane, LS1 5DA). Click here to sign up.

The network is being spearheaded by a steering committee that includes Isio pensions actuary and director Lisa McNally; EY head of UK corporate pension investment consulting Priya Jassal; Arc Pensions Law partner Vikki Massarano; and BESTrustees independent professional trustee Ann Rigby.

Rigby said the group would bring people together to talk about how we can encourage inclusiveness and diversity in our workplace and beyond, as well as provide support to increase social mobility within our sector.

She said: "In a world where there is so much going on, we felt there was a gap in being able to explore how we can take practical steps to meet our aspirations and the group is one way of filling this gap."
