This event is exclusive for Society of Pension Professionals (SPP) members, but Professional Pensions has obtained a limited number of tickets for trustees that would like to attend. Please email SPP event manager Francesca Armstrong-Smith if you are a trustee and interested in attending.
The concluding event of the industry body's 2025 Conference series will start at 1:30pm at One Bishops Square, London and conclude with a networking drinks reception at 5pm.
The conference will feature two panel discussions.
The first will see representatives from The Pensions Regulator – single employer DC provision segment lead Helen Gavagan and DB funding and events theme lead Katie Suter – outline the watchdog's key DB and DC priorities for the year ahead following the Pension Schemes Bill and with the Pensions Commission ahead. This session will be chaired by SPP president Sophia Singleton and also include Mercer principal Katie Bromley.
The conference will then host a discussion on the global macroeconomic landscape. The session will be led by NESTA chief economist Tim Leunig and include a panel of industry experts - Burges Salmon partner Steve Hull, Aon CIO of DC solutions Joanna Sharples, and Insight Investment senior solution designer Callum Duffy. This session will consider how the seismic global developments that we are witnessing will impact on the industry.
