Pension trustee and founder of Positively Aware David Butcher has launched an online mind management programme.

The first of the four-week programmes – which will include six live sessions led by David Butcher – will begin on 9 January.

Butcher is offering a special discount for Professional Pensions readers – to take advantage of this, please email him directly at [email protected].

Butcher says the course aims to teach the "everyday skill of managing your mind" – helping people to feel calmer, think clearer, and respond with confidence.

He said: "Irrespective of our background, experience and skillsets, we all need help with managing our minds more effectively. We have about 50,000 thoughts a day, 40,000 of which are negative – most of us are taught how to think, plan and solve problems but not how to manage our minds producing all those thoughts draining our energy."

Butcher said a diverse range of individuals from the industry had already signed-up for the course – including a number investment and administration specialists, non-executive directors and trustees.
