Varsha Gicas: TAP is becoming the leading initiative aimed at finding the pension professionals of tomorrow
Page Executive has joined the Pension Management Institute’s (PMI) Trustee Accelerator Programme (TAP) as a strategic partner.
The executive recruitment firm will use its ENABL network to help the TAP reach a broader pool of senior applicants for its first industry-wide intake of trainees, in addition to candidates who may be at much earlier stages of their careers.
The move comes after the PMI formally launched an expanded TAP programme in February to offer a comprehensive route into trusteeship for non-pension professionals.
PMI chief customer officer Varsha Gicas said Page Executive's ENABL network would play a "crucial role" in opening up opportunities to a diverse pool of talent which is representative of diverse member groups.
Gicas said: "Having Page Executive as a strategic partner reflects once more how TAP is becoming the leading initiative aimed at finding the pension professionals of tomorrow. This work is vital as we strive to meet government and regulatory expectations in a rapidly changing sector."
ENABL is Page Executive's empowerment network for Asian and Black leaders. It was created to open pathways into non-executive director roles and to support the development of the next generation of leadership talent.
The network focuses on practical skills and confidence building for executives who are preparing to progress into senior governance roles.
Through ENABL, Page Executive will promote the TAP's public application route to experienced leaders, ensuring the programme continues to reach candidates with the long-term commitment needed for the two-year training journey.
Page Executive will also support each cohort of trainees by providing interview skills training at the end of the programme ahead of any trustee and non-executive director interviews.
Page Executive senior partner for HR and diversity, equity and inclusion Catherine Osaigbovo said: "At its core, Page Executive's ENABL network is about supporting diverse leaders in their career growth. Partnering with the PMI's TAP, which prioritises building a more diverse pipeline of future pension trustees, is not only an incredibly organic alignment of values, but a chance to open more opportunities for our ENABL members."
