Industry Voice: Top risks facing real asset investments - Aviva Investors

The Aviva Investors Real Assets Study found that institutional investors identified a global recession (63%), inflation and interest rate rises (62%), trade wars and geopolitical risks (46%) as the biggest potential threats to real assets in the near future.

Investors also cited illiquidity (69%) and valuation concerns (57%) as the biggest risks to initiating real assets exposure or adding to an existing allocation.

Additionally, finding suitable investment opportunities (53%), high transaction costs (50%), and asset valuations (50%) were cited as the greatest barriers to new or additional investment in real assets.
