UK - Gartmore Investment Management has appointed Shamus Young as head of its global consulting group, based in London.
Young, previously account director on Gartmore’s institutional client services team, will now manage all aspects of Gartmore's relationships with investment consultants and institutional multi-managers.
He replaces Stephen Attenborough - recently appointed as Gartmore’s head of European institutional sales, fund of hedge funds - and will report into Frances Davies, head of global institutional.
Young will work closely with Holly Bromer in Philadelphia in the US.
Prior to joining Gartmore in 1997, he worked at Henry Cooke Lumsden as a private client fund manager.
