UK / EUROPE - Rothschild Asset Management has hired Baring Asset Management's (BAM) Ian Milton as its new assistant director and head of European institutional business development.
In his new role, Milton’s task will be to manage the firm’s European client base and to provide direction to its Continental sales and marketing efforts.
Mark Connolly, Rothschild’s global head of institutional business, said: We believe that there are significant opportunities for the Rothschild group to grow assets under management for a range of products and service across Europe and are delighted that we have secured the services of Ian to help us deliver our business objectives within this key strategic marketplace.
Milton joins the firm from BAM where he was a regional team head in the continental European sales and client service team. Prior to that, he was a senior member of Hill Samuel Asset Management’s sales team.
