UK - Bath and North East Somerset Council has tendered for an actuarial consultant for the £1.9bn Avon Pension Fund, as the fund's administering authority.
The pension fund’s existing actuary is Mercer.
A final salary defined benefit local authority pension fund, it covers the employers in the area of the former Avon County Council.
It currently has more than 60 employing bodies and 67,000 members.
The service required includes the provision of triennial and interim valuations and associated advice, FRS17 calculations, and advice on regulatory issues.
The council will have the option to extend the contract for a period of up to two years.
