UK - Frank Russell Company has chosen Threadneedle Investments to run £100m of UK equities for its multi-manager product.
The equity portfolio will be managed by Threadneedle fund manager Scott Meech – a senior member of its core UK equity team, which is headed by Martin Cawthorne.
Threadneedle’s core UK equity strategy has attracted £1.4bn in the past 12 months.
Thread-needle’s head of equities Michael Taylor said: “Russell is renowned for the depth and sophistication of its manager research. We are delighted it views our UK equity capability so highly.
“Our investment process is based on teamwork, rigorous proprietary research and integral risk control and it has proved very successful with our segregated UK equity composite consistently outperforming the FTSE All-Share Index over the seven years since inception.”
